Mushoku Tensei: Jobless Reincarnation Gets Eris Spin-Off Manga

Mushoku Tensei: Jobless Reincarnation is getting an Eris spin-off manga later this month. The manga, titled Mushoku Tensei: Eris wa Honki de Kiba wo Togu (Eris Sharpens Her Fangs), will begin serialization on Square Enix’s Gangan Online magazine app on March 15, while the website version will become available on March 29.

Take will be drawing the art, with Rifujin na Magonote credited as the original creator. Yu Okano is in charge of the composition, while Shirotaka (light novel illustrator) reserved the credit for original character designs.

It appears that the story will follow Eris after she separates from Rudeus at the end of the 6th volume/first season, based on an illustration posted by the spin-off manga artist Take, in which Eris has short hair:

An unaired episode of the anime adaptation by studio Bind is coming out on March 16, bundled with the 4th Blu-ray volume. The episode will focus on Eris’ “goblin slaying” adventure. A trailer is available:

Eris’ side-story is not the first Mushoku Tensei: Jobless Reincarnation spin-off. Mushoku Tensei: Roxy Gets Serious started serialization in 2017. Roxy spin-off features art by Shoko Iwami and story by Rifujin na Magonote.

In addition to the new spin-off, the Mushoku Tensei: Jobless Reincarnation franchise also received big news earlier this month. Season 2 of the anime series is officially in production and more information is expected to come at a later date. The announcement came just 3 months after the second cour of the first season ended in December.
