The previously announced My Next Life as a Villainess movie revealed a new visual along with a 2023 premiere date. The franchise is also known as Hamefura. The movie was announced in September of last year.
My Next Life as a Villainess: All Routes Lead to Doom! anime premiered in the Spring of the 2020 anime season. The sequel was announced after the first season ended and aired in the summer of 2021. SILVER LINK animated the adaptation, with Keisuke Inoue as director. The story is based on a light novel by Satoru Yamaguchi, with Nami Hidaka’s illustrations. The light novel received a manga adaptation. J-Novel Club licensed the light novel, Seven Seas published the manga in English.
My Next Life as a Villainess is a romantic comedy anime, with reverse harem elements. It follows a wealthy heiress Katarina Claes, who loses her memories after an accident. She wakes up and realizes she now lives in an otome game she once used to play. However, she is now the villainess of the story who tries to ruin romance prospects for the main character. There is no good ending in sight for a villainess, so Katarina has to fight to get her happy ending.
