Square Enix Manga & Books announced that the prequel manga of the video game NieR:Automata will be getting an English release in December 2022. The manga YoRHa – Pearl Harbor Descent Record is written by Yoko Taro and illustrated by Megumu Soramichi. English cover still hasn’t been finalized, but you can check out the English one below:
Yoko Taro is a Japanese video game director and scriptwriter known for creating the Drakengard game franchise and NieR spin-offs. On the other hand, Megumi Soramichi is a manga artist known for adapting the anime series Zombie Land Saga into manga. The prequel manga is based on the musical stage play titled YoRHa scripted by Yoko Taro. It serves as a backstory for the characters A2 and Anemone and is set in the same universe as Nier: Automata.
