As previously announced, the opening theme song for episode 1000 of ONE PIECE is the iconic 1st opening of the series by Hiroshi Kitadani “We Are!”. It’s a newly drawn video and, although it has some of the same frames reanimated, it also features the new Straw Hats and villains. You can watch the new video below:
There’s also a special video where you can watch all of ONE PIECE in 1000 seconds (1 second from every episode from 1 to 1000)! In addition, the Shanks movie ONE PIECE FILM RED has been announced for August, and the series is not done yet! Check out the visual for the new movie:
Both the One Piece chapter 1032 and episode 1000 release dates release today on November 21st. The anime already premiered in Japan at 9:30am JST, with the international version premiering 1h30m later (in about an hour now!). You can watch the anime on Funimation or Crunchyroll, while you can catch up to the latest One Piece manga chapter for free on either VIZ website or MANGA Plus. There’s also the Shonen Jump mobile app, which costs $2/month and allows ‘unlocking’ 100 chapters per day. The chapter arrives at 24:00JST.
Funimation & Toei Animation are also hosting a global livestream for episodes 998 & 999, prize giveaways, fan videos and more, and it’s currently ongoing! The reanimated version of ONE PIECE 1st opening “We Are!” looks amazing, and we’ll be able to watch it in English subs soon too!
