One Piece Manga Officially Exceeds 500 Million Circulating Copies

The ONE PIECE manga by Eiichiro Oda first began in July 1997, and the legendary series has now officially exceeded 500 million copies in circulation! There are 1055 published chapters as of July 31, 2022, with a total of 102 published compilation volumes.

The manga has now entered the final saga, with Oda teasing some big reveals coming up. The ONE PIECE FILM RED movie is set to release on August 6 in Japan, with the international release coming in fall.

You can watch the ONE PIECE anime on Crunchyroll, with episode 1027 being the most recent one. You can also catch up to the latest manga chapter for free on either VIZ website or MANGA Plus, with chapter 1056 coming out this Sunday on August 6.

500 million is by far the record for circulating manga copies, and we’ll see how far ONE PIECE can go as the story nears the conclusion!
