Oshi no Ko anime revealed a new illustration of Kana Armina for the 4th Blu-ray/DVD volume jacket. Character designer Kanna Hirayama drew a new illustration of the character who is voiced by Megumi Han in the anime. The volume, which covers episodes 6-7, is slated for a September 27 release date. In addition to the two episodes, the volume also includes a booklet, a non-credit version of the ending, a special behind-the-scenes video of episode 4, and a commentary of episode 7 by Takeo Otsuka (Aqua), Manaka Iwami (Akane), and Rumi Okubo (MEM-cho).
The 4th Blu-ray volume of Oshi no Ko costs ¥7,700 (around 52 USD), while the DVD is slightly cheaper at ¥6,600 (44 USD). There will be a total of six volumes – the third one came out today in Japan and it features Ruby Hoshino on the cover. The previous two had Ai and Aqua Hoshino, respectively.
Oshi no Ko anime aired throughout the Spring 2023 anime season. It was animated by studio Doga Kobo and directed by Daisuke Hiramaki. A sequel is in the works. The anime is based on the Oshi no Ko manga written by Aka Akasaka (Kaguya-sama: Love Is War) with art by Mengo Yokoyari. The manga began serialization in 2020 in the Weekly Young Jump magazine. The story focuses on the dark side of the entertainment industry. Yen Press licensed it in English.
