Oshi no Ko Tops Anime Ranking Again in Week 7 After Akane Kurokawa Episode

OSHI NO KO has kept the top spot in our weekly anime ranking for the 2nd straight time in week 7. It’s the show’s 5th win overall this season, after previously keeping the rank for 3 straight weeks after its premiere. 12,816 people voted, and it took 9.67% of the votes. Behind it was Hell’s Paradise, which overtook Loving Yamada at Lv999 and Demon Slayer: Swordsmith Village Arc. The biggest jump came from MASHLE: MAGIC AND MUSCLES which re-entered the top 10, while The Dangers in My Heart and Tengoku Daimakyo also had decent increases. Check out the top 10 graphic below:

Top 10 Anime of the Week 7 | Spring 2023 – OSHI NO KO Tops Ranking For 5th Time

The latest episode focused on Akane Kurokawa, and it covered a very serious topic. The show continues to show the darker side of the entertainment industry, and fans have been enjoying it so far. The English dub version will also be coming soon, with its premiere set for May 24.

OSHI NO KO anime is based on the manga written by Aka Akasaka (Kaguya-sama: Love is War) and illustrated by Mengo Yokari (Scum’s Wish). It is animated by studio Doga Kobo, with Daisuke Hiramaki as the director and Saori Tachibana as the assistant director. Kanna Hirayama is adapting the character designs from the manga, while YOASOBI performs the opening song titled “Idol”. Rie Takahashi voices the popular idol Ai Hoshino.

The anime is streaming exclusively on HiDIVE, and they describe the story:
Dr. Goro is reborn as the son of the young starlet Ai Hoshino after her delusional stalker murders him. Now, he wants to help his new mother rise to the top, but what can a child do about the dark underbelly of the entertainment industry?
