Our Dating Story: The Experienced You and The Inexperienced Me Episode 4 - The Truth

Our Dating Story: The Experienced You and The Inexperienced Me episode 4 delves into a trove of long-concealed truths, unveiling a plot twist that promises to bring Ryuto and Runa closer, enabling them to forge a deeper understanding of one another. As the age-old adage goes, honestly, it truly is the best policy. In this episode, it becomes abundantly clear that this newfound openness between them is the key to their blossoming connection. This intriguing twist in their romantic journey not only adds a layer of excitement but also paves the way for a more genuine and profound bond to flourish between the two protagonists.

In Our Dating Story: The Experienced You and The Inexperienced Me, episode 4 picks up right where episode 3 left off. Ryuto reveals to everyone that he and Runa are officially dating. Predictably, many people are skeptical and assume it’s a joke, but Runa confirms their relationship. This announcement surprises Maria, who abruptly leaves the classroom. Ryuto, concerned about the rumors, chases after her.

In an unexpected twist, Maria reveals that she and Runa are twins, leaving Ryuto completely shocked. As they talk, Maria opens up about her feelings of always being in Runa’s shadow, feeling like she’s often left out. She shares stories about their family and confides in Ryuto about her emotions and experiences regarding Runa.

Ryuto offers his support and advises Maria not to change herself for others. He encourages her to do things that she believes will genuinely make her a better person, rather than trying to compete with her sister. This heartfelt conversation marks a pivotal moment in their relationship, as Maria begins to explore her own path and identity, setting the stage for a deeper connection to blossom between them.

That plot twist is truly astonishing; discovering that they’re twins is mind-blowing. When Maria admitted that she spread those rumors because she felt like she was always in Runa’s shadow, it angered me. It’s important to remember that resorting to such tactics, even if you feel overlooked, isn’t the right way to handle it. Instead of trying to tarnish someone else’s reputation, you should strive to build your own. It’s a valuable lesson that reminds us all to stay true to ourselves, recognize our worth, and work on creating our own unique image, rather than attempting to undermine someone else’s.

While Runa and Ryuto walked together, she offered an apology for not revealing the fact that they were twins earlier. She explained that she hadn’t found the right time to tell him. However, Ryuto reassured her that it was alright and that he understood now that he knew the truth.

As they continued their walk, Runa and Ryuto decided to spend more time together at a cafe, discussing how they could gradually make changes for the sake of the person they cared about. Runa expressed her desire to get to know Ryuto better by taking an interest in his hobbies. Ryuto mentioned a streamer he liked, KEN, and to Runa’s surprise, she was taken aback. Ryuto realized he might have overwhelmed her with his enthusiasm, much like in episode 2 when he talked extensively about cars. However, Runa reassured him that it was okay since she genuinely wanted to learn more about him. They agreed to watch one of KEN’s gameplay sessions together.

Meanwhile, Ryuto couldn’t help but have thoughts about wanting to be closer to Runa, whether through a kiss or physical affection. Yet, he also felt a sense of trepidation, fearing that such actions could potentially jeopardize their budding relationship. Our Dating Story: The Experienced You and The Inexperienced Me episode 4 shows how a teenage boy can sometimes have wild thoughts, but it’s cute how he respects her! It’s amazing how they are trying to grow their relationship and themselves.

Ryuto confided in his friends about his desire to share intimate moments with Runa, like kissing or holding her hand. However, his friends were unable to offer any advice as they had never been in such a situation before. After giving it some thought, Ryuto decided to plan a date where he could create a perfect setting to be closer to Runa. He discussed the idea of going on a boat date with her, as it presented an ideal opportunity to initiate physical contact.

However, on their boat date, Ryuto repeatedly failed to make a move. His efforts became so exhausting that Runa noticed his weariness and feared that he wanted to break up with her. She believed that a breakup often followed a disappointing date. To her surprise though, Ryuto corrected her misunderstanding, revealing that he only wanted to go on another boat. While it was a white lie, they agreed to embark on a different boat.

This time, Ryuto took the initiative and reached out his hand to invite Runa aboard the boat. The unexpected gesture took her aback. On the boat, they openly discussed their desire to touch and be close to each other, culminating in a gentle kiss. They both expressed their intention to take things slow to avoid hurting each other’s feelings.

As they concluded their date and walked back, Runa talked about how their relationship felt awkward due to their decision not to rush into physical intimacy, but she found it enjoyable nonetheless. The awkwardness and anticipation added a unique flavor to their connection. Meanwhile, Maria contemplated the idea of trying to steal Ryuto away from Runa, setting the stage for potential drama in the upcoming episodes.

Our Dating Story: The Experienced You and The Inexperienced Me episode 4 truly delivers an adorable and heartwarming experience. Despite starting with quite a bit of drama, it showcases how the characters gradually open up to one another. I thoroughly enjoyed this episode even though I was quite angry when Maria contemplated the idea of stealing Ryuto from Runa, especially since this romantic anime drama is rather typical. Anyway, the sweetness of their day and the way they confided in each other made it truly amazing.

One particularly amusing moment was when Ryuto discussed his uncertainty about how to become more physically affectionate with Runa and his friends. Their single status left them at a loss for advice, highlighting their humorous and relatable dynamics as a friend group. It’s these moments that quickly reveal how close-knit and entertaining their friendships are, and overall, add to the enjoyment of the episode.

I give Our Dating Story: The Experienced You and The Inexperienced Me episode 4 a 9/10.
