Overlord Season 4 will have a short petit animation series titled Ple Ple Pleiades 4. The anime will begin broadcasting on AT-X and streaming on KADOKAWA’s YouTube channel on July 5 and will follow the main Overlord Season 4 as it airs, just like it did with the previous seasons. The anime features chibi-style art.
The official Twitter account of the Overlord anime posted a teaser picture for Ple Ple Pleiades 4 on June 24 that says the anime is to stream on July 5. It also shows two characters of Great Tomb of Nazarick, Sous-chef and Eclair Ecleir Eicler at a bar. The bar’s master is serving a glass of cocktail to the penguin-like assistant butler sitting in front of him.
The tweet was followed by another post that introduces the plot of the petit anime as:
Ainz Ooal Gown’s thought about the future of Ainz Ooal Gown Sorcerer Kingdom and this made him give Sous-chef an order: Teach the Pleiades about the service industry. Will the combat maids Pleiades successfully accomplish this mission?
Minoru Ashina is returning to Ple Ple Pleiades 4 as the director, after having worked on previous seasons of the anime and the spin-off crossover Isekai Quartet series. “I’d like you to enjoy ‘Ple Ple Pleaides’ that has a matured mood, different taste from ‘Isekai Quartet’” the director tweeted. No further information about the length of each episode and episode count is available at the time of writing.
Overlord is a light novel series by Kugane Maruyama with art by so-bin. The series is celebrating its 10th anniversary this July, as the first volume in July 2012.
