The upcoming Prince of Tennis U-17 anime revealed a trailer, visual, and theme song information, along with a July 2022 premiere date. The sequel is set a few months after the events in the original manga/anime.

The information was revealed during a special AnimeJapan 2022 stage. Junko Minagawa (Ryouma), Takayuki Kondo (Kiko Valentin), Kenjiro Tsuda (Dodo Obando), and Junichi Suwabe (Keigo Atobe) presented the information on the stage. Prince of Tennis U-17 is adapting The New Prince of Tennis manga.
Prince of Tennis is a Japanese manga series written by Takeshi Konomi. It started serialization in Weekly Shonen Jump magazine in July 1999., The manga ended in March 2008, after a total of 42 volumes. The TV anime adaptation by Trans Arts aired from 2001 to 2005. A 26 episode OVA sequel aired between 2006 and 2009. A 3DCGI movie came out last year. Konomi is writing a manga sequel titled The New Prince of Tennis, which has been serialized in Jump Square magazine since 2009.
