PUBG Mobile Unveils Evangelion Collaboration

Evangelion is coming to PUBG Mobile. The official Twitter of the game teased this collaboration days before May 14. Through this new collaboration, players can access character plug suits from the franchise’s famous characters – Shinji, Rei, Asuka, and more.

In addition, players can also access Evangelion-themed items in PUBG Mobile. The collaboration will be available until June 19. PUBG Mobile has been rolling out in the past few months anime-related collaborations including Jujutsu Kaisen and Black Lagoon.

PUBG Mobile is a mobile battle royale game developed by Lightspeed & Quantum Studios of Tencent Game. The game is free-to-play and was released on both iOS and Android on February 9, 2018. According to SensorTower, the game has earned US$1.3 billion from player spending in the first six months of 2020.

The Neon Genesis Evangelion was created by Hideaki Anno. The franchise itself has sprung into multiple anime series, manga, original net animations, and films. The final film for the franchise, Evangelion 3.0+1.0 Film, premiered in Japan and earned 827,742,000 yen (~US$7,600,000) on opening day. It is the franchise’s highest-grossing film worldwide. Its box office officially topped 7.42 billion yen (~US$67,814,719).
