After 5-week long domination by SPY x FAMILY on Anime Corner’s Spring 2022 weekly polls, we finally have a new top spot – Kaguya-sama: Love Is War. The dethroning followed an amazing episode of Kaguya-sama, which featured a special ending sequence.
Fujiwara once again took Shirogane under her wing and this time she taught him to rap. The fruit of their labor was combined with an amazing ending sequence by the 18-year-old animator Vercreek. Vercreek, whose real name is Vynz Allen Lopez is originally from the Philippines, and he directed and storyboarded the ending, which features “My Nonfiction” song by Makoto Furukawa (Shirogane’s voice actor) and Konomi Kohara (Chika Fujiwara).
This is not to say that the 5th episode of Kaguya-sama: Love Is War – Ultra Romantic completely overshadowed SPY x FAMILY. The WIT Studio/CloverWorks show also delivered a strong episode and the votes reflect that – a mere 0.44% difference between the two. To put things into perspective, the third-ranked The Executioner and Her Way of Life had 5.58% of the total votes in the 6th week of the season. Check out the Top 10 below:
You can keep voting for your favorite Spring 2022 seasonals – the polls won’t close until the last week of the season in June on polls.animecorner.me.
