The Record of Ragnarok anime has revealed the first trailer for the upcoming season 2. The series previously announced a key visual and a 2023 premiere date. Graphinica and Yumeta Company are animating the series.
The anime’s second season was confirmed in August 2021. Masao Ookubo is directing the series, while Kazuyuki Fudeyasu and Yuka Yamada are on the series composition. Masaki Sato is doing the character designs and Yasuharu Takanashi is composing the music.
Record of Ragnarok is based on an ongoing manga series by Shinya Umemura and Takumi Fukui, with illustrations done by Ajichika. It began serializing on the Monthly Comic Zenon in November 2017. The first anime adaptation was animated by Graphinica and premiered on Netflix in June 2021.
Viz Media has licensed the manga in English, describing the plot as:
The valkyrie Brunhilde has convinced the gods to give humanity a chance at redemption through combat in the Valhalla arena. Seeking a quick end to the proceedings, the gods present their first fighter, Thor, the Norse god of thunder. Facing him is a warrior said to be the strongest in the history of mankind, the legendary general Lü Bu!
