Classroom of the Elite Season 2 revealed non-credit versions of the opening (OP) and ending (ED) sequence along with information about new characters during a live stream on YouTube. Suzune Horikita’s voice actress Kito Akari and Kikyo Kushida’s voice actress Yurika Kubo hosted the livestream on July 2. The archived video will be available until July 16 and it features both the ED and OP for Classroom of the Elite Season 2.
ZAQ is performing the opening song “Dance In The Game” and the opening video shows the lyrics. “It looks like the five years [since Classroom of the Elite Season 1 aired] has led to the song that follows the current trends,” Kito Akari said during the stream. “It looks like a lyric video” she added. Mai Fuchigami is singing the ending song “Hitoshibai“. The ending video shows a butterfly flying around as the characters, including a new character Hiyori Shiina, appear at the stairs one after another. Kei Karuizawa catches and releases it in the end and the butterfly goes to Kiyotaka Ayanokoji, who is on the highest step. Yurika Kubo describes the song as “You can’t get the song off your mind once you listen to it.” You can check the ending sequence at 40:21 in the YouTube video.

Miyu Tomita, who played the Student Council’s Miko Iino in the Kaguya-sama series, is voicing one of the new character, Shiho Manabe of Class C. The live streaming states that this is the first time her appearance is revealed, as the light novel didn’t have an illustration for the character. Yoshiki Nakajima, the voice actor of Yoshifumi Nitta in Hanamatsuri, is joining as Class-A’s Koji Machida.

Shogo Kinugasa writes the story of Classroom of the Elite light novel series with art by Shunsaku Tomose. The series is currently consist of two parts, Year 1 and Year 2. Classroom of the Elite Year 2 released Volume 7 in June 2022. Classroom of the Elite Season 2 is covering the Year 1 and is a sequel anime to Classroom of the Elite which was airing from July to September 2017 with a total of 12 episodes. The 2nd season is scheduled to begin on July 4, 2022.
