Hazano Kazutake’s Saint Cecilia and Pastor Lawrence manga is going to receive an anime adaptation by studio Doga Kobo. The announcement was made along with the release of the manga’s 10th volume today.
Sumie Noro will direct the anime, Yuka Yamada will be in charge of the series composition, while Hiromi Nakagawa is working on the character designs. Author Kazukate also made an illustration to commemorate the anime adaptation announcement:
Director Noro also made a comment about the announcement, saying that he is trying to make the atmosphere in the anime warm and gentle so that people would still love to watch it, even though the reality is frustrating. There is still no information regarding the release date and cast of the series.

Kodansha has been serializing Hazano Kazutake’s Saint Cecilia and Pastor Lawrence manga since 2017 in Shonen Magazine R, and it currently has 10 volumes in circulation. Kodansha USA is also publishing the manga in English and describes the plot as:
Saint Cecilia is beloved by the townspeople—not only is she elegant and composed, she benevolently shares her wisdom with all who seek it. That is, until the last person has left—at which point she becomes totally hopeless! Only Pastor Lawrence, is keeping the Saint put together enough to do her duties…and though she may test him, it’s all in a day’s work!
