SAO: Progressive – Scherzo of Deep Night Gets New October Release Date

The Sword Art Online (SAO): Progressive – Scherzo of Deep Night movie has received a new release date and will premiere on October 22, having been delayed due to the rising cases of COVID-19 in Japan. The movie was originally scheduled to open on September 10. A visual with the updated release date has been released:

Reki Kawahara wrote the Sword Art Online: Progressive light novel series is written by Reki Kawahara and illustrated by Kiseki Himura and character designs by Bunbun. It started serialization in 2012 in Dengeki G’s Magazine.

Sword Art Online is a light novel series by Reki Kawahara that started in 2009. It has received several anime adaptations, as well as games, movies, manga, and light novels. The latest installment of the TV anime series was Sword Art Online: Alicization – War of Underworld: Part II, which aired in the summer of 2020.
