Season 2 of Show Time! ~Uta no O-nee-san Datte Shitai~ (Even the Songstress Wants to Do It) anime has released a new teaser trailer, as well as a January 2023 premiere date. The anime will be produced by Suiseisha and directed by Saburo Miura.
The Show Time anime also sees the return of its main characters: Hasshinsen as Shoji Fujimoto, Rikka Kitami (screen name by Ono Ryoko) as Minami Takasaki, Airi Akatsuki as Kana Fujimoto, Kanade Shirakami as Kazuhiro Oniisan, and Alice Sakurai as Pao-tan.

Rabbit Gate is animating the Show Time series, with Kenichi Hamazaki and and Lazz doing the character designs, Hisayoshi Hirasawa on the sound direction, and Keita Kawamura on the editing.
Show Time season 2 anime is the successor of its first season, which aired in October 2020. The anime is based on the Showtime! ~Minami O-nee-san Datte H Shitai~ (Even Miss Minami Wants to Have S**) manga by Mai Girigiri.
Ascendent Animation has licensed the first season of the anime in English, describing the plot as:
After the passing of Shoji’s wife, “The Sing Along! Show” became a crux of healing for him and his young daughter Kana. After a chance meeting with the show’s beautiful singing starlet, Minami, Shoji tries to start up a relationship—but is this single father ready to handle the realities of the dating a TV personality? And can Minami ever find love working in an industry that requires her to keep up a pure and innocent appearance?
Show Time season 2 will air on AnimeFesta, BS11, and Tokyo MX, and will have two versions: the ‘on-air version’ and the ‘premium version’, which contains more explicit scenes.
