My Home Hero anime – Visual

“When I first read the original story, I honestly thought it would be tough. It seemed to be suitable for drama, and I wondered what kind of animation it would be…I feel that I have been given a difficult problem and that it is rewarding to take on the challenge of solving a difficult problem. I hope that fans will look forward to the completion of the anime as well.”

Director Takashi Kamei

The anime is based on the manga of the same name by Naoki Yamakawa and illustrated by Masashi Asaki. It is being serialized in Kodansha’s Weekly Young Magazine, and is currently on its seventh volume.

Tetsuo Tosu is a hard-working office worker who loves his only daughter, Reika. One day, he finds a bruise on Reika’s face. He asks her who did this to her, but she just shrugs it off. On his way home, Tetsuo finds a man who looks like the culprit and follows him. However, this is the beginning of an incident that changes the fate of the family. The father sets out on a path of destruction for the sake of his daughter and his family.
