Slow Second Life Anime Gets Key Visual, First Trailer, Additional Cast Announced

The upcoming anime adaptation of Rokujuyon Okazawa’s Kaiko Sareta Ankoku Heishi (30-Dai) no Slow na Second Life released the first trailer and a key visual along with additional cast information on Friday. Encourage Films is animating it and the premiere date is set for January 7, 2023. The anime adaptation was announced in July 2022.

The anime depicts a story of Dariel who loses his job in the army. He meets a woman called Marika and his new life starts in human society. The newly-released key visual shows both of them on the right and running after them is Gashita, the village’s only adventurer. Behind Dariel’s sword can be seen red-haired Bashvaza and green-haired Zeviantes.

Hinano is singing the opening theme song “CHANGEMAKER”, while Akari Kito is performing the ending theme song “Dear Doze Days” in the Kaiko Sareta anime. The newly-posted trailer shows a part of the ending theme song on the anime’s official YouTube channel below:

Kaiko Sareta Ankoku Heishi (30-Dai) no Slow na Second Life First Trailer

Encourage Films is animating the Kaiko Sareta Ankoku Heishi (30-Dai) no Slow na Second Life anime based on Rokujuyon Okazawa’s light novel series with art by Sage Joh. The series is currently being published under Kodansha’s light novel label, Kodansha Ranobe Books. The light novel released the first volume in August 2019 and the latest, 3rd volume in March 2020. The series’ manga adaptation by Rurekuchie is ongoing in the company’s Monthly Young Magazine and released the newest, 8th volume on November 18, 2022.
