The Spy x Family anime is getting an official Filipino dub, according to a recent announcement from Philippine-based video-on-demand entertainment service POP TV. POP TV has been providing Filipino dub versions of several anime titles like Jujutsu Kaisen, Horimiya, and How Not to Summon A Demon Lord, among others.
Spy x Family ended its first part on June 25, and will return in October this year with 13 episodes. Studios CloverWorks and Wit Studio are animating the series, with Kazuhiro Furuhashi directing it. Kazuaki Shimada is responsible for the character designs and is also a chief animation director for the anime, along with Kyoji Asano.
The main cast for the anime includes Takuya Eguchi as Loid Forger, Saori Hayami as Yor Forger, Atsumi Tanezaki as Anya Forger, Kensho Ono as Yuri Briar, Hiroyuki Yoshino as Franky Franklin, Yuko Kaida as Sylvia Sherwood, and Kazuhiro Yamaji as Henry Henderson.
Spy x Family is based on an ongoing manga series by Tatsuya Endo. It has been serialized on Shueisha’s Shonen Jump+ application and website since March 2019. Crunchyroll is streaming the anime, describing the plot as:
World peace is at stake and secret agent Twilight must undergo his most difficult mission yet—pretend to be a family man. Posing as a loving husband and father, he’ll infiltrate an elite school to get close to a high-profile politician. He has the perfect cover, except his wife’s a deadly assassin and neither knows each other’s identity. But someone does, his adopted daughter who’s a telepath!
