Ufotable, the studio behind many popular franchises, has now opened a global webshop. The shop sells themed merchandise from the Ufotable works and ships them overseas. Currently, they are only shipping to the United States, Canada, and Australia, but there are plans to gradually increase availability.
The website is in English and it lists available items, along with their prices. The prices range from ¥605 (~$6) for stickers, to ¥9,075(~$85) for the animation designs material collections. At the moment, the shop only has Demon Slayer merch, but more is coming soon, according to the message on the About page.
The About page also explains the goal of the site – bringing official merchandise to fans all over the world.
The news about the global availability came after Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba season 2 news on Saturday. The webshop also has a Twitter page, which is fully in English. The account posts sneak peek images of the merchandise.
Ufotable, founded in 2000, is a Japanese animation studio. The studio is well-known for producing a number of popular anime titles, such as Fate/Zero, Fate/stay night: Unlimited Blade Works, and Tales of Symphonia. In addition to the Demon Slayer franchise, they also worked on The Garden of Sinners franchise.
In 2020, Ufotable and its founder were charged for tax evasion. The studio issued a written apology. The founder, Hikaru Kondo, admitted to evading ¥138 million (~1.2 million $) in taxes at a preliminary hearing earlier this month.
