The synopsis:

The story is set in a mixed reality game that combines virtual reality and augmented reality. The story begins with the beta testing of the world’s first all-sensory immersive VRMMO-RPG called Actual Magic, or AM. Yuma Ashihara, a sixth grader at the Yukibana Elementary School, is amazed by this MMO created from new technology, and starts playing games and clearing dungeons with his friends. Satisfied with a day of gaming and looking forward to playing later, Yuma logs out of the game, or so he thought.

After clearing a dungeon boss together with his friends, Yuma’s avatar is engulfed in a strange red light, after which he loses consciousness. When Yuma comes to, he wakes up in a “New World” in which the VRMMO has merged with the real world. Before he is able to fully process the situation, Yuma runs into his beautiful classmate Sumika Watamaki – except her appearance has changed dramatically into something resembling the monsters in the game.
