Vinland Saga Season 2 Reveals Snake Character Design

Vinland Saga season 2 is coming in January 2023, and the official Twitter account for the anime shared the character design for Snake, who is also involved with Ketil. Fuminori Komatsu will voice the character, and you can also see him in the latest trailer:

Vinland Saga Season 2 – Snake Character Design

The director Shuhei Yabuta commented that Snake has a seductive attractiveness and that he’ll do his best to express those. The character designer and animation director Abiru Takahiko also commented he will try to elevate his charm. You can read both of their comments in the image above. Shuhei Yabuta said that the staff for the anime would be returning to animate the sequel at studio MAPPA, and the staff for season 1 included:

  • Character design: Takahiko Abiru
  • Chief animation director: Takahiko Abiru
  • Music; Yutaka Yamada
  • Script: Hiroshi Seko (24 episodes), Kenta Ihara (episodes 5-24)

Besides Fuminori Komatsu as Snake, the new cast for season 2 includes:

  • Yu Hayashi as Olmar
  • Rikka Sakuragawa as Arnheid
  • Hideaki Tezuka as Ketil
  • Taiten Kusunoki as Thorgil
  • Shunsuke Takeuchi as Einar
  • Hideaki Tezuka as Ketil

Amazon and Netflix are both streaming the first season, and they describe the story:
