Vinland Saga season 2 is coming in January 2023, and the official Twitter account for the anime shared the character design for Thorgil. He’s the son of Ketil and older brother of Olmar, whose character designs were previously released. Taiten Kusunoki voices the character, and you can also see him in the latest trailer:

Previously, the character design for Arnheid was also revealed, and you can see Thorgil’s below:
The director Shuhei Yabuta commented that Thorgil is both aggressive and clever, as well as family-friendly. The character designer and animation director Abiru Takahiko also commented, saying that his hair is fun to draw. You can read both of their comments in the image above. Shuhei Yabuta said that the staff for the anime would be returning to animate the sequel at studio MAPPA, and the staff for season 1 included:
