“That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime” episode 37 is finally out! Following right after their war with Falmuth, Tempest celebrates their victory! Plus, Velora is back. Rimuru also plans for the future. The episode is titled, “Visitors.”
The episode begins with an epic reunion! After two years, Veldora and the Rimuru finally reunite. It’s a lot of fun to watch Veldora so lively. He even copies lines and poses from his sacred text—Manga! We also discover that Veldora has a new interesting skill. Meanwhile Rimuru now has …four ultimate skills!? It’s so cool and amazing.
After Veldora controls his aura (super saiyan style), they make their way back to Tempest. Rimuru casually introduces the Storm Dragon to his companions but it’s just silent cricket sounds. It’s funny how everyone stare in disbelief and then cheer in admiration afterwards.
Later, Veldora proudly announces that Rimuru is his sworn friend! Veldora’s over-the-top energies is really hyping this episode! The celebration begins so the monsters (and some humans) drink and dance. It always seems like Tempest throws awesome parties! It’s heartwarming to see everyone enjoy themselves, especially after the war and all.
Speaking of food, the most interesting moment in “That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime” episode 37 is definitely Shion’s “Master Chef”. It’s a scary but hilarious scene. After bracing themselves for death-by-poisoning, Benimaru and Rimuru both shout “UMAI! (Tasty!)” We eventually discover that Shion has unlocked a new skill— she can make her awful-looking food taste delicious! It is both an amazing and strange skill.
The next day, all of Rimuru’s high-ranked and trusted companions gather for an important meeting. Rimuru formally introduces Diablo as his second secretary and also promotes Gabiru! (The loyal friends cheer by the window deserve a shoutout.) The main subject, however, is Rimuru’s plan to wage a full scale war on Clayman. The Slime gives everyone important tasks — cleaning up Falmuth, keeping the Holy Church in check, and rescuing the Demon Lord Carrion with the Animal Kingdom.
Suddenly, Fuze barges in! Together with fifty soldiers, he is ready to defend the city from Falmuth’s attack! Or… so he thinks. Rimuru nonchalantly tells the Guild Master that he “annihilated” them all! It’s amusing to see Fuze’s reaction to this insane news. The scene becomes even funnier as everyone nods while Youm comforts Fuze like it’s just “normal.” That’s our overpowering Slime for you.
Aside from the visit from Blumund, the Dwarf King Gazel and his knights also arrive at Tempest. Additionally, the archduke of the Sorcerous Dynasty of Thalion, Elaude Grimwald appears! We discover that Elalude is actually the overprotective father of Eren. (She literally bonks him for picking a fight with Rimuru.) “That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime” episode 37 comes to an end as both King Gazel and Elalude invite themselves to the meeting.
What an energetic episode to start off with! It’s really good to see our favorite Slime back in action. Honestly, the episode left me wanting more. I’m hoping for more interactions with Veldora in the future. His comical behavior is really fun to watch. (The power of manga and anime is on his side!)
Aside from Veldora’s dramatic “anime and manga” behavior, I honestly laughed with Elalude’s magic spell execution. Was that a hand sign jutsu? It was so intensely dramatic and funny with Raphael’s unworried warning and Eren’s shouting.
My favorite scene is definitely the one with Fuze. With a charming smile and laugh, Rimuru says he mass-murdered them all~! It’s actually scary, but Rimuru is so cute. Poor Fuze though. He was ready to fight for Tempest but was instead told to relax in the onsen.
All in all, “That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime” episode 37 was a delightful watch. There were plenty of fun moments. Not only is the soundtrack so good, but the opening and ending sequences too! (Goosebumps!) The animation and art is also as pretty and fluid as always. I’ll definitely miss the adorable art of “Slime Diaries’” but this one just hits home. Plus, we’ve been blessed with a frame of Diablo cooking while Shion is jealous at the back.
I’m excited for how the events will develop from here on out. Tempest is going all out to retaliate! Plus, there’s the visitors who intend to make plans with Tempest. I have goosebumps just imagining how epic it’s all going to be. Especially Rimuru in his Demon Lord clothes!
