On May 16, Sunday, the official website of “Tensura: That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime” released a video preview for the upcoming second cour of season 2. In addition, the website announced the artists for the opening and ending theme songs. There is also a free giveaway wallpaper and a contest to celebrate their Twitter account’s milestone.

The “That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime” previews show scenes of the Tempest-Falmuth War aftermath and Tempest’s victory celebrations. It also shows Rimuru’s plans of taking down the Demon Lord Clayman. Subsequently, there are introductions of new characters and a tease of the beginning of the Banquet of Demon Lords, the Walpurgis arc.
In addition, the “Tensura: That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime” website posted a few preview images. These include Veldora and the demon lords Clayman, Milim, and Ramiris.

The preview video is also available on the official YouTube of BANDAI Namco Arts Channel, though it may be regionally locked. For the U.S. fans, Crunchyroll Collection’s YouTube Channel also released the preview video with English subtitles.
The “Tensura: That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime” website also announced the theme songs for the second cour of season 2. The second opening theme is titled, “Like Flames” and will be performed by MindaRyn, a Thai anime singer. The lyrics and composition are by SACHIKO and the arrangement by Hisashi Koyama.
On the “Tensura” website, MindaRyn commented that Tensura is popular in Thailand and she is also a big fan. MindaRyn explained that her song is about the feeling of fighting hard, just like Rimuru’s passion for creating a world he envisions. Lastly, she hopes that the fans will love her song.
The second ending theme is titled, “Reincarnate” and will be performed by Takuma Terashima. The arrangement is by R.O.N.
Takuma Terashima commented about how he wrote “Nameless Story” and “Megurumono” without thinking there would be a next one. He said that for the new season, he had no more ideas. After finding a new angle, he was finally able to put some lyrics together. Takuma Terashima also hopes that “Reincarnate” will give the fans a lingering feeling for the future of Rimuru and his friends.
The “Tensura” website also announced a free wallpaper giveaway to commemorate their Twitter followers exceeding 200,000! The said wallpaper features Kurobe holding a sword. It is available in high definition for android, iPhone, and PC. The wallpaper is free and easy to download on the official Tensura website here.
There is also a Twitter giveaway to celebrate the series selling more than 25 million copies. The “follow and retweet” campaign will have 20 lucky winners who will receive luxurious “Tensura” gifts. The contest is from May 16 to May 24, 2021. However, this is only eligible for the fans in Japan since the prizes can only be shipped within the country.

“That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime”, or “Tensura,” is an anime adaption (8bit Studio) of the light novel by Fuse. It follows the story of how Mikami Satoru reincarnates to another world as a slime monster! He eventually obtains the name Rimuru and begins his quest to create a world that’s welcoming to all races.
