The manga The Demon Prince of Momochi House is getting an anime adaptation. Studio Drive (Fate/Grand Order, KonoSuba: An Explosion on This Wonderful World!) is animating the series. A teaser trailer and visual have been released as part of the announcement.
Shirahata Nobuo, known for his work in Hetalia Axis Powers, Gravitation, and The Seven Deadly Sins: Grudge of Edinburgh, will serve as the director for the series. Yasuko Aoki is doing the series composition, Mariko Oka is on the character designs, Hiromi Kikuta is on the sound direction, and Tomoyuki Kono and Ayana Tsujita are on the music.
The Demon Prince of Momochi House is based on a manga series written and illustrated by Aya Shouoto. It was serialized in Kadokawa Shoten’s Monthly Asuka from February 2013 to August 2019. Viz Media has licensed it in English, describing the first volume as:
On her sixteenth birthday, orphan Himari Momochi inherits her ancestral estate that she’s never seen. Momochi House exists on the barrier between the human and spiritual realms, and Himari is meant to act as guardian between the two worlds. But on the day she moves in, she finds three handsome squatters already living in the house, and one seems to have already taken over her role!
The author Shouoto has also released a commemorative illustration to mark the anime adaptation announcement.
