The iDOLM@STER MILLION LIVE anime unveiled a teaser preview and visual. The announcement was initially revealed during the Idolmaster Million Live! Preparing for the 10th Anniversary! special live stream. The teaser visual features three characters namely, Mirai Kasuga (voiced by Haruka Yamazaki), Shizuka Mogami (voiced by Azusa Tadokoro), and Tsubasa Ibuki (voiced by Machico). The series is scheduled to premiere in the fall of 2023.
Similar to the visual, the characters also appeared in the teaser preview in which a short timeline of the spin-off series was shown at the beginning. Studio Shirogumi will be animating the series with Shinya Watada as director and Yoichi Kato as the scriptwriter.

The iDOLM@STER MILLION LIVE! is a spin-off of The iDOLM@STER game series developed by Namco Bandai Games. The anime is based on a game with the same title which was launched in 2013 and closed down its servers in March 2018. Players could manage their own idol production company in the game and improve the talents of their idols. A year before the service ended, Bandai Namco Entertainment launched a successor to the game titled The IDOLM@STER Million Live! Theater Days. The anime series will follow the story of Mirai Kasuga and the other idols and their growth when it comes to theater skills.
