The Tunnel to Summer, the Exit of Goodbyes movie revealed a first full trailer, which features the voices of Marie Iitoyo and Oji Suzuka, who are behind the main duo. In addition to the trailer, the movie also revealed a new poster, which confirms the September 9 release date in Japan. The main duo is named Anzu Hanashiro and Kaoru Tono:

The Tunnel to Summer, the Exit of Goodbyes is a light novel written by Mei Hachimoku and illustrated by KUKKA. A manga adaptation with art by Koudon also exists. Seven Seas Entertainment is publishing both the light novel and manga in English, and describes the story as:
