Oono Kousuke‘s The Way of the Househusband will receive a live-action film adaptation in the early summer of 2022. The official Twitter account of the live-action drama series made the announcement on November 3.
The live-action TV drama series was airing in 2020 and had Tamaki Hiroshi as the protagonist Tatsu, Kawaguchi Haruna as his wife Miku, and Shison Jun as his young brother back in his Yakuzahood, Masa. The cast will remain in the live-action film, and you can also check their image below:
In addition, the director Rutou Touichirou will continue working on the series as well.
Oono Kousuke’s The Way of the Househusband first appeared in Shinchosha’s web manga service Kurage Banch as a short-term serialization in 2018. The manga started the ongoing serialization in the same year. On September 9, 2021, it released its 8th compiled volume. The work also inspired a Netflix anime adaptation, which released this year.
