Tomodachi Game Shows-Off High Stakes in New Trailer

Tomodachi Game anime adaptation revealed a new trailer and additional cast details ahead of the April 5 premiere date. Studio Okuruto Noboru is animating the series, under Hirofumi Ogura’s direction. It’s interesting to note that this is the first actual promotional video for the series, only 2 weeks before its premiere:

Minami Takayama, Reina Ueda, and Shizuka Ito are joining the cast as Manabu, Maria, and Tsukino respectively. The main cast was announced previously and includes:

  • Chiaki Kobayashi as Yuichi Katagiri
  • Daiki Hamano as Tenji Mikasa
  • Yume Miyamoto as Shiho Sawaragi
  • Tomohiro Ohno as Makoto Shibe
  • Satomi Amano as Yutori Kokorogi

Nana Mizuki is singing the opening theme titled “Double Shuffle”, while Saji is singing “Tomoshibi”, which will be the ending theme. In addition to director Ogura, Kenta Ihara is also working on the anime as a screenwriter/on series composition. Satomi Miyazaki is in charge of character designs, while Michiru is composing the music. Studio Okuruto Bonoru previously worked on titles such as How NOT to Summon a Demon Lord: Omega and The Hidden Dungeon Only I Can Enter. The story is based on a manga for which Mikoto Yamaguchi provided the concept and Yuki Sato did the art and the story.

Tomodachi Game (Friends’ Game) teases the plot in the trailer. The plot follows Yuichi Katagiri, a high school student who values friendship above all else. He was living a fulfilling, quiet life with his friends Tenji, Shiho, Makoto, and Yutori until a large debt forced them to play a game in order to pay it off. The only way to clear this game is to never doubt your friends. For these 5 it sounds easy but…
