The upcoming TV anime series CUE! revealed a new promotional video, along with a release date. The anime will premiere in January 2022. The story is based on a game by Liber Entertainment.
In addition to Shin Katagai, who is directing, Tatsuhiko Urahata is also working on the series as the script supervisor. Motohiro Taniguchi will be in charge of the character designs, while Ryosuke Nakanishi is composing the music.
The voice cast from the game is returning for the anime. Yurina Uchiayam, Satsuki Miyahara, Saki Matsuda, Megumi Yamaguchi, and Hina Tachibana are a part of an all-female cast. In addition, Rio Tsuchiya, Yuuna Ogata, Yukari Anzai, and Ami Komine are also voicing characters in the CUE anime adaptation.
The new PV introduces main characters, such as Haruna Mitsuishi, who joins a voice-acting training group to follow her dreams. Viewers also get an insight into the everyday lives of the characters:
CUE! is a simulation game in which players can coach 16 aspiring voice actors, which launched in Japan on October 25, 2019. Liber Entertainment produced the game, in collaboration with Pony Canyon. The game was available on iOS, as well as Android, but is currently on a break after the company announced that the service is temporarily shutting down in order to improve the user experience.
In addition to voice acting, the characters also produce their own original songs, which are available on the game’s official website.
Japanese idol Dialogue+ was also a part of the mobile game since its members voiced characters in CUE!. Dialogue+ performed the opening songs for some popular anime series, such as Higehiro and Bottom-tier Character Tomozaki-kun.
