Vivy: Fluorite Eye’s Song released episode 7 this Saturday, and it continues to be one of the best shows this season! It started off with Diva warming up her voice (much like in the eerie beginning of episode 1). She was about to perform on the Main Stage, and it was integrated into the OP sequence this week. She was different, and it was clear that another time skip had happened.
After seeing Dr. Saeki shoot himself, Vivy had a fatal crash and needed a reboot. Following the procedure, she lost all her memories and carried on as the singer Diva. We saw her meet the youngest Sister, Ophelia, who seems shy yet is amazing at singing. The two bond a little and Diva is also impressed by the younger model’s singing, though she says ‘watch and learn’ as she heads to the stage for a test performance herself. Just as she’s about to start, she sees a suspicious man and shortly chases after him. Her memories are lost, but she does feel like something’s wrong. It turned out to be a trap. However, Matsumoto saved her, although she didn’t remember him nor the name ‘Vivy’.
She managed to convince him to tell her about her past after jumping off a building and making him save her. The reason he’s there now is to stop Ophelia from committing suicide (obviously inspired by Hamlet). Vivy is 61 years old at this point, and has a new habit of finger snapping along with a way more outgoing personality. It will be interesting to see what happens, and there’s only 6 more episodes left!
