After the broadcast of Chainsaw Man anime episode 5, Ayumu Murase revealed on Twitter that he played the role of the young Aki Hayakawa in the episode. The latest episode titled “Gun Devil” aired on Wednesday in Japan.
“And so I had the opportunity of making a little appearance in the fifth episode, as young Aki ☃️” Ayumu Murase begins his tweet and adds “I felt at the recording MAPPA-san and the director’s creativity, but the complete version was shhoooo gooood.” His wish concludes the post: “Hopefully I can get another chance to appear ⚾️🏠“
The voice actor is known for his roles as Shoyo Hinata in Haikyu!!, Allen Walker in D.Gray-man Hallow, and as the Japanese voice of Venti in Genshin Impact.
Animation studio MAPPA is animating the Chainsaw Man anime based on Tatsuki Fujimoto’s manga of the same name serialized in Shueisha’s Weekly Shonen Jump from December 2018 to January 2021 with a total of 11 volumes. The series’ second part is being published on Shueisha’s online manga service Shonen Jump +. The series surpassed 16 million circulating copies with the 12th volume’s release on October 4. The anime adaptation was chosen as Anime Corner’s most anticipated Anime of Fall 2022 by fans.

Viz Media licensed the manga for English releases and describes the plot of volume 1 as:
