The results for the second weekly Anime Corner Winter 2021 survey for anime rankings have arrived! We collected data from more than 25,000 international anime fans to generate a list of favourite episodes released during the second week of this season. After a break during the first week of winter 2021, “Attack on Titan” is back to take the top position, but it seems to be facing some competition from a franchise that is not Re:Zero.
As you can see below, “Horimiya” was ranked very high by anime fans because of its strong start. It’s currently second only to “Attack on Titan” and ranked above “Re:Zero” which is something that probably nobody saw coming. Likewise, “Mushoku Tensei” also had a powerful premiere with great animation and was ranked right below “Re:Zero” It is very likely that these two new franchises will continue to fight each other for second place, and perhaps the top spot as well.
Before proceeding, we would like to point out that the results shown in the rankings are based on the data of the selected sample. Therefore, your decision to watch shows below the Top 10 should not be affected, as each show has its own distinct style, and everyone’s taste in anime is different.

Apart from “Horimiya” and “Mushoku Tensei” we would like to highlight “Wonder Egg Priority” which gave an eye-candy premiere that just looks stunning. It is one of the only three non-sequels to be ranked in the top ten. The series is being adapted by CloverWorks and is currently available for Funimation streaming.
