“Be Crazy for Me“, an insert song from the Ya Boy Kongming! (Paripi Koumei) anime, revealed a special music video. The song was featured in the first 3 episodes of the anime and is sung by the main character EIKO, whose singing voice is provided by 96Neko. The song was one of the tracks that introduced Kongming to EIKO’s talent:
Songwriter Kenn Kato wrote the lyrics for the song and Katsumi Onishi composed the music. The arrangement was done by Hirofumi Hibino.
In addition to “Be Crazy For Me”, the other insert song “Shooting Star” was also revealed in full along with a special music video. Lyrics for this song were written by Leonn, while the music was done by Bounceback. Hirofumi Hibino did the arrangement.
P.A. Works is animating the Ya Boy Kongming! anime. The anime has been steadily delivering some of the most hyped anisongs of the season, including the opening song “Ciki Ciki Bam Bam” by Queendom.
The anime is based on a manga by Yuto Yotsuba and Ryo Ogawa. Kodansha is publishing the manga in English and describes the plot as:
General of the Three Kingdoms, Kongming had struggled his whole life, facing countless battles that made him into the accomplished strategist he was. So on his deathbed, he wished only to be reborn into a peaceful world…and was sent straight to modern-day party-central, Tokyo! Can even a brilliant strategist like Kongming adapt to the wild beats and even wilder party people?!
Shu Honma is directing Ya Boy Kongming anime, with Kanami Sekiguchi as character designer. Yoko Yonaiyama is overseeing series composition, while Genki Hikota is composing the music. Ya Boy Kongming! is streaming HiDIVE this season.
