Zombieland Saga: Revenge Episode 6 — The Legendary Tae

The Legendary Yamada Tae has legendary luck, even after death! “Zombieland Saga: Revenge” episode 6 titled, “Walking Bet SAGA” takes us on a day out with zombie Number 0, Tae. Revenge continues!

Zombieland Saga Revenge Episode 6 – Strategy Meeting to Pay debt. “Sleeping doesn’t earn!”

“Zombieland Saga: Revenge” episode 6 begins like always with the group having their strategy meeting. Instead of busting in like usual, Kotaro peeps first before entering the room to make sure he doesn’t get upstaged like in the last episode. The zombie idols talk about their “20 million debt.” Everyone heads out to work while Tae takes a holiday.

Tae goes out to do grocery shopping with the cute zombie dog Romero as her guide. Despite not being fully awake, Tae has some consciousness and understanding of her surroundings. It’s silly how her weird behavior is found charming by so many people. Incidentally, the journalist Shinta Okoba sees Tae on the road and decides to tail her in hopes of discovering evidence for his “look-alike/zombie” theories.

He follows Tae all around as she walks around talking, grunting, and garbling to friendly people. Shinta becomes more and more baffled and confused by her character.

As Tae arrives at the grocery store we meet Maria, an ex-biker gang leader from season one. Maria thoughtfully helps Tae with the stuff on her grocery list. Like everywhere else she’s been to today, Tae starts to munch on a few things including Maria’s hair bun. Also, Romero adorably holds on to Tae like a koala!

“Zombieland Saga: Revenge” episode 6 proceeds to show us more of Yamada Tae’s day out. She goes with Maria to support her at a dance competition. There are a lot of participants but the most notable one is … Coco! The chicken mascot from the Drive-in Chicken Commercial. Tae joins him on the dance floor and they have an intense head spin showdown. With her zombie flair, Tae takes the winning title and the cash prize!

Zombieland Saga Revenge Episode 6 – ” She’s moving so fast it looks like her head isn’t moving!”

When Tae and Maria argue about onions and the cash prize, the policeman appears and shows them where to spend the money —a boat race. “Zombieland Saga: Revenge” just keeps giving me reasons to judge this silly policeman’s character! Anyway, like the zombie that she is, Tae sneezes on her ticket and throws in all the money on a random number.

We meet Misa Azumatsuru, the leader of the Korosuke Biker Gang and Maria’s rival. The episode suddenly gets dramatic as it tells the story of how she became the “Roaring Princess” and “Wild Boar” boat racer. During the intense race, Misa unleashes a legendary move called the “Green Eel Goby” and the crowd goes wild as she surprisingly takes first place. It’s a hilariously dramatic moment.

The policeman is scolded for lazing on the job but at least he led Tae to win a lot of cash from the boat race. Lucky Yamada Tae! “Zombieland Saga: Revenge” episode 6 comes to a close as Maria accompanies Tae back to the mansion. Everyone is happy with the news because they now have enough to pay off their debt! The journalist disappointedly watches from afar and decides to leave.

Just then, Sakura, with all her bad luck, trips and hits Tae’s head away. It was a good thing the journalist already left. Or… not? The after-credits show that Shinta sees the detached flying zombie head and even takes photo evidence. Well well well, the plot is finally moving forward! What will Shinta do with this discovery?

“Zombieland Saga: Revenge” episode 6 is such a fun episode because of the fact that a lot of the characters from the first season come back for an appearance. We got to see the host, rappers, old people, the pharmaceutical executive, and even the chicken mascot! There’s the bike gang too, not to mention the lazy policeman. These recurring gags are honestly so fun to watch and it’s what makes “Zombieland Saga: Revenge” a delight to watch.

I would have to say my favorites in this episode are the dancers dancing Michael Jackson’s Thriller and the dramatic, yet effective, boat scene race. There’s also the small detail where Sakura checks the roads for cars before crossing the road. Plus, the title is a fun reference to the American series about zombies, “The Walking Dead.” As always, the comedy and energy of this show are just so silly and simply entertaining.

Zombieland Saga Revenge Episode 6 – Dance Competition!

Overall, this was definitely a cute episode about the legendary Yamada Tae. Talk about amazing luck, am I right? It was so nice to see how she was going around the neighborhood, garbling her words, eating food and stuff, and people just liked her the way she is. She just has so much chaotic energy, and I think that’s why people love her. I love the fact that we finally have an episode dedicated to the Number 0 of Franchouchou, together with the good boy, Romero! I think they’re a perfect pair.

As “Zombieland Saga: Revenge” hits its halfway mark for the season, it gives us new plot developments—the mysterious ancestral graves with Sakura and Tae’s family names and the fact that the journalist saw Tae’s zombie head. With the debt all cleared up now, will Franchouchou be able to go back to performing full time? Or will they come across another obstacle for their revenge plan?
