Episode 9 preview of A Couple of Cuckoos is here. For the first time ever, all three main girls will appear in one episode. With all three girls featured in the episode, Nagi will surely have his hands full. We might also see a more proper date for Nagi and Hiro compared to what happened in episode 7.
The 9th episode will air on Sunday, June 19, at 1:30 AM JST and the series is available to stream on Crunchyroll and Bilibili. Studios Shin-Ei Animation and Synergy SP are animating the anime. Yoshiyuki Shirahata is directing with Hiroaki Akagi as the chief director. Yasuhiro Nakanishi is in charge of writing the scripts, Aya Takano is doing the character designs, and Rei Ishizuka on composing the music for the series.
The anime is adapted from the A Couple of Cuckoos manga written and illustrated by Miki Yoshikawa. Kodansha is currently publishing the manga in English and describes the plot as:
16-year-old super-studier Nagi Umino, second-year student at the Meguro River Academy high school, was switched at birth. On his way to a dinner to meet his birth parents, he accidentally meets the brash, outspoken, Erika Amano, who is determined to make Nagi her fake boyfriend as she never wants to actually marry. But once Nagi makes it to dinner, he finds his parents have decided to resolve the hospital switch by conveniently having him marry the daughter his birth parents raised…who turns out to be none other than Erika herself!
