Attack on Titan: Final Season Part 2 Opening, Ending Themes Revealed

The opening for the Attack on Titan: Final Season Part 2 is being performed by the Japanese band SiM (Silence iz Mine). The song is titled “The Rumbling” and is the 7th opening theme for Attack on Titan TV anime. Additionally, Ai Higuchi is singing the ending theme, which is titled “Akuma no Ko” (a child of evil). Episode 76 of Attack on Titan anime is now available in Japan.

Both opening and ending sequences are now available. Takashi Kojima directed the opening, did the storyboard, and is also listed as key animator and animation director for it. MAPPA’s subsidiary Contrail animated the ending.

The official CD jackets have also been revealed, along with comments from the artists. SiM commented on the release, saying that they tried to respect the “traditional lineage of Attack on Titan openings” while still adding their personal touch. Ai Higuchi focused on the clash between Marley and Eldia while wondering how long she’d be able to live with the resentment, but not finding an answer.

SiM is an alternative metal band from Japan. They previously performed the opening themes for Shingeki no Bahamut: Genesis and Shingeki no Bahamut: Virgin Soul. The band became popular in the anime circles after their song “Devil in Your Heart” was used to the popular fan-made OP video for Chainsaw Man.

Earlier today a special pre-air broadcast was streamed, ahead of the Attack on Titan: Final Season Part 2 premiere. Yuuki Kaji, Marina Inoue, and Yui Ishikawa hosted the event and gave commentary on the events in the previous season. The stream is available on Pony Canyon’s official YouTube channel:
