Funimation has been streaming Banished From the Hero’s Party, I Decided to Live a Quiet Life in the Countryside anime since October 6, 2021, and it currently has 9 episodes. Studio Flad (Dame x Prince) and Wolfsbane (Peter Grill) are animating the show, while Makoto Hoshino (King’s Raid) is directing.
Kadokawa Shoten is serializing Zappon’s Banished From the Hero’s Party, I Decided to Live a Quiet Life in the Countryside light novel series since June 2018. As of now, the novel has 8 volumes available. The same publisher is also publishing a manga adaptation by Masahiro Ikeno, and it currently has 6 volumes in circulation.
