Black Clover released episode 167, and it continues to get better as we get closer to the ‘ending’! Beginning with Vanica aftermath, we saw her take Loropechika and kill all her soldiers as she didn’t need them anymore. She also remembered Noelle’s mom, and she invited her to come after her after she gets stronger. We didn’t see what happened to Noelle and the others after the explosion, though they must have survived.
Then the opening played, and the epic Asta & Yami vs Dante fight began. It lasted about 11 minutes, and a lot of it was action! The two worked together and showcased great teamwork, though they were still not able to overwhelm Dante. Then Asta made a deal with his devil, giving away his arm for more power. It helped and they started winning, though he had only 50 seconds to fight. With some ups and downs, it got to the last second with Asta having a chance to end it. Yami threw his katana over, and Asta used it for the finishing movie in one of the most epic scenes of the episode.
Sadly though, the epic scene was followed by Zenon’s appearance and overall defeat for the Black Bulls on all fronts. Although it seems pretty hopeless, there’s the mysterious person with Black Bull robe that has been teased the last few episodes. He also seems to be in the preview for the next episode, titled “Stirrings of the Strongest”.
A few of the animators also shared their cuts on Twitter:
The anime started back in February 2015 and will end on March 30, 2021. Following the release of episode 167, it means Black Clover will have 3 more episodes! There will also be an announcement at the end. We might get something interesting there too!
Asta is a young boy who dreams of becoming the greatest mage in the kingdom. Only one problem – he can’t use any magic! Luckily for Asta, he receives the incredibly rare five-leaf clover grimoire that gives him the power of anti-magic. Can someone who can’t use magic really become the Wizard King? One thing’s for sure – Asta will never give up!
