Chainsaw Man anime revealed the highly anticipated third trailer earlier today. The MAPPA-animated series released a new key visual last week, along with an announcement that a new trailer and additional information were coming. Anime will premiere in October.

Studio MAPPA is animating the Chainsaw Man anime, with Ryu Nakayama as the director. Kazutaka Sugiyama is doing character designs, while Kiyotaka Oshiyama is credited for creature designs. Kensuke Ushio is composing the music. The first trailer was revealed in June of last year. The studio previously announced plans to hire and train animators to work on this and future projects. Crunchyroll will be streaming the anime overseas and the anime is also set to have its own panel at the Crunchyroll Expo later today.
The anime is based on a manga by Tatsuki Fujimoto. The first part originally ran from 2018 to 2020 and ended after 97 chapters and 11 volumes. The continuation, dubbed Part 2, will began on July 13 on the Shonen Jump+ platform.
Viz Media licensed the manga in English and describes the plot as:
Denji’s a poor young man who’ll do anything for money, even hunting down devils with his pet devil Pochita. He’s a simple man with simple dreams, drowning under a mountain of debt. But his sad life gets turned upside down one day when he’s betrayed by someone he trusts. Now with the power of a devil inside him, Denji’s become a whole new man—Chainsaw Man!
