Chainsaw Man manga author Tatsuki Fujimoto live-tweeted his reactions on episode 6 of the anime adaptation titled “Kill Denji” from his temporary Twitter account (@ashitaka_eva) that was opened on Saturday after his original account got locked due to breaking the platform’s rules. As Koharu Nagayama’s account is now back on Twitter as of Wednesday evening, his new account was deleted – as was the plan all along.
“On second thought, it may not be possible for me to live-tweet with screenshots because I wouldn’t be able to focus on watching.” the manga author appeared on Twitter about twenty minutes before the broadcast and said: “If I have time, I’ll do it with photos from like a recorded video. Thank you.“
He also revealed behind-the-scenes information on the upcoming episode in two tweets: “I tried to base the hotel arc on The Incident film. It’s not the horror movie part I used as a reference, but the film’s theme in which the young are suppressed by the adulthood. This also applies to the Reze arc with JINROH. When I watched the anime’s OP for the first time, I thought I saw not only The Sky Crawlers’ bowling scene but The Big Lebowski’s bowling in it. Even though I hadn’t told them things about that stuff, I assumed the anime side understood my thought, and that made me really happy.“
Here is a chronological list of his reactions to the episode made during the broadcast:
