Chainsaw Man: Pochita's Voice Actress and Oshi no Ko Manga Artist Enjoy Chainsaw Man Cafe

Shiori Izawa, the voice actress of Pochita in the Chainsaw Man anime, enjoyed the anime’s collaborate cafe with Mengo Yokoyari, the manga artist of Oshi no Ko manga. In addition to collaborative goods, collaborative foods are served at the cafe. The collaboration has been held at animate cafe Ikebukuro 2-go-ten and animate cafe Osaka Nihonbashi since October 12 and will end on November 14.

She also posted a video of her trying Pochita Omurice, captioned as “I’m eating Pochita Omurice~” with Mengo Yokoyari’s reaction as “That’s cannibalism!“.

The manga artist also tweeted with photos:
I hit Checafe [short for Chainsaw Man Cafe] with Shiitam [a nickname for the voice actress]. We received TWO Aki-kun coasters. I was so nervous I didn’t get what Hime-pai [short for Himeno Senpai] drink tasted like, but it was delicious.

Other than the role of the Chainsaw Devil, Shiori Izawa voixed Nanachi in Made in Abyss and Sasa Sasamiya in The Asterisk War. Mengo Yokoyari, also known as the author of Scum’s Wish, is currently drawing Oshi no Ko manga with story written by Aka Akasaka, the author of Kaguya-sama Love is War manga, in Shueisha’s Weekly Young Jump. The manga is receiving an anime adaptation by Doga Kobo.

Animation studio MAPPA is animating the Chainsaw Man anime based on Tatsuki Fujimoto’s manga of the same name serialized in Shueisha’s Weekly Shonen Jump from December 2018 to January 2021 with a total of 11 volumes. The series’ second part is being published on Shueisha’s online manga service Shonen Jump +. The series surpassed 16 million circulating copies with the 12th volume’s release on October 4. The anime adaptation was chosen as Anime Corner’s most anticipated Anime of Fall 2022 by fans.
