Crunchyroll will be streaming Edens Zero Season 2 as part of its Spring 2023 anime lineup. Mediatoon Distribution (France) is the rights holder so Crunchyroll users in North America, Central America, South America, Europe (excluding Spain, Portugal, Italy, and French and German-speaking countries), Africa, Oceania, the Middle East, CIS and India will be able to stream the anime. There is seemingly a week-long delay between the Japanese broadcast and the English-subtitled one (the second episode of the anime premieres tomorrow in Japan).
Studio J.C. Staff is animating the second season of the anime. The same studio also worked on the Edens Zero anime’s first season, which is streaming exclusively on Netflix. The anime is based on a manga by Hiro Mashima. Kodansha US is publishing the series in English and describes the plot as:
At Granbell Kingdom, an abandoned amusement park, Shiki has lived his entire life among machines. But one day, Rebecca and her cat companion Happy appear at the park’s front gates. Little do these newcomers know that this is the first human contact Granbell has had in a hundred years! As Shiki stumbles his way into making new friends, his former neighbors stir at an opportunity for a robo-rebellion…And when his old homeland becomes too dangerous, Shiki must join Rebecca and Happy on their spaceship and escape into the boundless cosmos.
