Demon Slayer Spin-off Kimetsu Gakuen Manga Releases Volume 3, Kanao and Shinobu Featured on the Cover

Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba‘s spin-off manga Kimetsu Gakuen! manga released the third volume on Friday. The volume features Kanao Tsuyuri and Shinobu Kocho on the cover. Natsuki Hokami has been drawing the manga in Shueisha’s Saikyo Jump since August 2021.

In the spin-off manga, the characters from the original Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba manga are students and teachers in a private combined elementary, junior high, and high school called Kimetsu Academy. This volume is titled “Whereabouts of the Butterfly Ornament,” and it refers to a story about Tsuyuri, whose hair ornament goes missing.

In the Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba anime adaptation, Reina Ueda, who is known as the voice actress of Akane Shinjo in SSSS.Gridman, is voicing Kanao Tsuyuri, while Saori Hayami (Yor Forger in Spy x Family) is voicing Shinobu Kocho.

Demon SlayerKimetsu no Yaiba is a shonen manga series serialized by Koyoharu Gotoge in Shueisha’s Weekly Shonen Jump from February 2016 to May 2020. It ended with a total of 23 volumes, which surpassed 150 million circulating copies. The manga inspired anime adaptation by ufotable; the first season (Tanjiro Kamado Unwavering Resolve Arc) aired from April to September 2019 with a total of 26 episodes. Mugen Train arc was first published as a movie and then later adapted into TV anime which aired from October to November 2021 with 7 episodes. This was directly followed by the Entertainment District Arc, which aired from December 21 to February 2022 with 11 episodes. The Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba – Mugen Train movie premiered in 2020 and broke the record of Japan’s highest-grossing film of all time. The anime’s Swordsmith Village Arc is currently in production and scheduled to release new information on December 10.
