Demon Slayer Characters Dressed in Fairy Tale Themed Costumes for Halloween 2022

Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba released illustrations of 18 characters dressed in fairy-tale-themed costumes for Halloween 2022. Halloween themed merchandises are also available on the animation studio ufotable’s official webshop. The same day, the studio celebrated the Sound Hashira Tengen Uzui’s birthday with a new illustration.

The official Twitter account of ufotable posted a gif as a compilation of the illustrations, captioned in English as “Trick or treat! How do I look?” with a pumpkin head at the start and the end. You can check the tweet below:

  • Tengen Uzui (Hanasaka Jii-san)
  • Mitsuri Kanroji (Rapunzel)
  • Muichiro Tokito (Peter Pan)
  • Gyomei Himejima (Issun-boshi)
  • Obanai Iguro (Jack and the Beanstalk)
  • Genya Shinazugawa (The Ugly Duckling)
  • Sanemi Shinazugawa (The Sun and the Wind)

Demon SlayerKimetsu no Yaiba is a shonen manga series serialized in Shueisha’s Weekly Shonen Jump from February 2016 to May 2020. It ended with a total of 23 volumes, which surpassed 150 million circulating copies. The manga inspired anime adaptations by ufotable and Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba – Mugen Train movie premiered in 2020 broke the record of Japan’s highest-grossing film of all time. The anime’s Swordsmith Village Arc is currently in production and scheduled to release new information on December 10.

Viz Media licensed the manga for English releases and describes the plot of Volume 1 as:
Learning to destroy demons won’t be easy, and Tanjiro barely knows where to start. The surprise appearance of another boy named Giyu, who seems to know what’s going on, might provide some answers—but only if Tanjiro can stop Giyu from killing his sister first!
