The Seven Deadly Sins: Four Knights of the Apocalypse unveiled a cover for the upcoming 9th volume of the manga, which is set to release on November 17, 2022. The cover features Gawain, who is one of the Four Knights of the Apocalypse.
In addition to being one of the Knights, Gawain is also Arthur Pendragon’s niece and the current wielder of Sunshine. She first appeared in the 58th chapter of the manga. Four Knights of the Apocalypse is the sequel to Nakaba Suzuki’s highly popular Seven Deadly Sins series. The plot follows Tristan: The Seven Deadly Sins fans may remember him from the series finale. Other characters from the franchise also appear in the manga.
The Four Knights of the Apocalypse manga started serialization in 2021 in the Weekly Shonen Magazine, right after the original series ended. Kodansha publishes the manga in English and describes the plot as:
In the world of The Seven Deadly Sins: Four Knights of the Apocalypse, Percival has always lived with his grandfather on the idyllic, remote God’s Finger. And though Percival loves the simple life, he longs for adventure. That is, until adventure comes knocking at his door, tearing away everything he’s ever known and leaving him alone in the world. Now Percival has no choice but to go out into the world and see what it holds…after all, it’s his destiny!
A TV anime adaptation was announced in May of this year with a teaser visual. Further details have not been revealed yet.
