Iruma-kun season 2 episode 13, “Walter Park,” just aired. Firstly, I want to apologize to any readers who have been wondering about this show since its last review. I personally was dealing with health issues and was unable to watch and review as such. However, I am currently on the road to recovery and should be back to cover Iruma-Kun episodes weekly.
Now for those wondering as to what’s been going on, allow me to give a brief recap of the last few weeks. So now that we’re weeks past Iruma’s evil cycle incident, we had to complete the ‘end of terminus’ exams. Basically, these are the equivalent of Midterms or Finals for comparison, and Iruma passed thanks to all of his friends.
As such, in Iruma-kun Season 2 episode 13, we get to enjoy the after-effects of a cram session… The ‘extended break’ post-semester. Now for anyone that doesn’t know, our main character, Iruma is very socially awkward. He has never really had any kind of break. His parents were worthless (evidenced by the whole selling their child’s soul thing), so he worked constantly.
So, this week’s episode was precious to watch the awkwardness of a boy who has never had an end-of-semester vacation break. Luckily his friends invite him to the main amusement park of the Demon World ‘Walter Park’. This starts one of the cutest episodes of the season, watching so many main characters interact with each other.
Firstly Kalego-sensei gets bullied by Opera some more, which is always entertaining to watch. Ameri gets mad at Iruma for inviting her on a ‘date’ that isn’t a date. Also, we get to see Ronovae again! As an added bonus, we discover some surprising news about the park itself. This arc looks to be filled with much more fun in store.
In conclusion, this show remains one of my must-watch of the season: Great animation, comedy, and a wholesome story with amazing characters. Iruma Kun Season 2 episode 13 doesn’t miss a beat as one of the best shows of Summer 2021.
