Kashitaro Ito and Riko Azuna to Perform Theme Songs for Trapped in a Dating Sim Anime

It was revealed that the theme songs for the upcoming Trapped in a Dating Sim: The World of Otome is Tough for Mobs anime will be performed by Riko Azuna and Kashitaro Ito. The anime will premiere in April 2022.

Kashitaro Ito will be the one to perform the anime’s opening song, “Silent Minority”. He is also known for performing the ending songs of Deca-Dence, Deep Insanity: The Lost Child, and the opening song of Shenmue the Animation.

The ending song of the series is titled “Selfish” and is performed by Riko Azuna. Some of her most known songs are the ending themes for Cautious Hero, Astra Lost in Space, and opening themes for Osamake, So I’m a Spider, So What and the theme song for the anime film Re:Zero -Starting Life in Another World- Memory Snow.

Trapped in a Dating Sim: The World of Otome is Tough for Mobs is a Japanese web novel series written by Yomu Mishima. Micro Magazine is publishing a light novel adaptation with Monda’s illustrations since May 2018 and, as of now, it has 9 volumes in circulation. A manga adaptation by Jun Shiosato is also being serialized by Fujimi Shobo. Seven Seas Entertainment licensed the light novel series in English and you can read its synopsis below:

But Leon has a secret weapon: he remembers everything from his past life, which includes a complete playthrough of the very game in which he is now trapped. Studio ENGI (The Detective is Already Dead) is working on the anime adaptation of the series, while Shinichi Fukumoto and Kazuya Miura (DRAMAtical Murder) are directing.
